The contest is open to anyone already moving through the highlands — riders, hikers, campers, and drivers — and runs through July 4.
Adventure Team Philippines, in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) and Philippine Motorcycle Tourism (PMT), has officially launched Discover Cordillera, a photo contest documenting the landscapes, communities, and roads of the Cordillera Administrative Region. The culminating event falls on July 4 and 5 — and registration is open now.
The contest is open to motorcycle riders, overlanders, hikers, and photography enthusiasts. There’s no race format, no time pressure on the road. The ask is straightforward: explore CAR at your own pace, shoot what you find, and submit your best frame.
The prizes
Six cash prizes totaling ₱90,000 are on the table: ₱20,000 for first place, stepping down through ₱18,000, ₱16,000, ₱14,000, and ₱12,000, with ₱10,000 for sixth. The ₱2,500 registration fee includes event freebies and meals at the awarding ceremony.
What qualifies
Eligible photographs must be original shots taken within the Cordillera Administrative Region between January 1 and July 4, 2026. Entries will be judged on uniqueness and originality, difficulty of reaching the location, technical excellence, and adherence to the theme — Discover Cordillera.
AI-generated images, internet-sourced photos, and heavily manipulated files are grounds for disqualification. RAW files or unedited JPEGs must be kept on hand for verification.

Each submission must include the participant’s full name, mobile number, date the photo was taken, exact location within CAR, and a short story or history behind the shot.
The judging and awarding ceremony takes place on July 5 at Rock Inn Hotel in Sagada, during a festive breakfast to close out the event.
