SM City San Mateo has officially kicked off the holiday season with the unveiling of its enchanting Christmas centerpiece, Santa’s Christmas Toy Village.
Inspired by the whimsical charm of Hysan Place’s iconic display in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, the toy village promises to be the most magical photo spot for shoppers throughout Rizal Province.
Santa’s Christmas Toy Village offers a journey into a world of wonder and nostalgia. Set in a bright and welcoming space on the mall’s second level, the centerpiece features a cozy toy shop adorned with festive decorations, a large clock, and a plush armchair for Santa Claus himself.
Adding to the magic, playful elves in traditional green attire dash around the display, while Santa’s sleigh waits nearby, ready for his annual Christmas journey.
The village lighting ceremony was a grand event, attended by local dignitaries including Rizal Board Member John Patrick Bautista, San Mateo Vice Mayor Jimmy Roxas, and Councilor Joey Briones. They were joined by SM executives, with Regional Operations Manager Don Edward Vijandre and SM City San Mateo’s Assistant Mall Manager Sean Arroyo leading the mall’s team.
Madison Events performers delighted the crowd with a lively musical performance, and the popular PPop boy group Cloud 7 brought even more energy with their rendition of the holiday classic All I Want for Christmas is You.
Adding to the excitement, Santa Claus made a special appearance at his toy village, meeting families and spreading Christmas cheer. Shoppers of all ages were thrilled to share their Christmas wishes with the jolly figure himself.
In the spirit of giving, SM City San Mateo has also launched the SM Bears of Joy campaign. For P280, shoppers can purchase a pair of adorable bears—one to keep and one to donate to children in need through a charity selected by SM.
