The Manila Coffee Festival 2023, the biggest coffee festival in the Philippines, successfully held its three-day event at Manila Marriot Hotel in Pasay City.

Thousands of coffee lovers from all over the country gathered for the much-anticipated event of the year and enjoyed everything coffee-related—from tasting local coffee products and exploring a myriad of merchandise to painting murals and getting tattooed.

The festival was not just about coffee, but it also showcased small businesses, coffee farms, and other enterprises related to the industry.

Kape Talks, an event within the festival, highlighted different topics about the coffee industry and its sustainability. Experts discussed the latest trends and innovations in coffee, sustainability practices, and the challenges facing the industry.

One of the highlights of the festival was the opportunity for coffee lovers to sample different types of coffee from various local producers. Attendees could also purchase coffee beans, brewing equipment, and other merchandise from exhibitors at discounted prices.

Variety of Local Coffee Products

Upon entering the festival hall, you’ll be greeted with a line of booths offering different local coffee products from various regions including SOCCKSARGEN and the BARMM.

Munir A. Dail, Assistant Executive Director of the Governor of Sulu, came all the way from Patikul, Sulu to introduce the unique offerings of BARMM. He said that the long journey to Manila is worthwhile upon seeing people getting more and more interested in checking out what the region has to offer when it comes to homegrown coffee.

Unli Coffee at Single Origin Bar

For attendees who would like to take a sip of coffee across different regions, the Single Origin Bar was a haven. It featured various single-source coffee such as in Upi, Maguindanao, and in Iloilo.

Meaningful Conversations About Coffee During KAPE Talks

The event also provided a great avenue for the coffee industry to come together and create conversations about the industry and how it can be made more sustainable and thriving. Speakers from different fields were invited to share their take on various topics involving the industry to better understand the situation.

Coffee Equipment at Discounted Prices

People looking to elevate their coffee corners enjoyed checking out a wide selection of mugs, coffee presses, Moka pots, and coffee machines.
