The country’s longest-running fitness competition opened its stage wider than ever this year, marking a new era of modern fitness.
Forty names came out of a single afternoon. Some of them had stood on this same stage before, in 2022, in 2023, one contender for the fourth time. Others hadn’t planned on competing at all until a gym coach, a daughter, or a parent talked them into it.
By the end of the Final Callback, Century Tuna had its Top 20 male and Top 20 female finalists for the 2026 edition of Superbods, marking two decades of the competition with a lineup its organizers say looks different from any before it.
Century Tuna is calling it the “Superbod Era,” and the shift shows up less in the branding than in who actually made the cut. The Callback field included Supermoms returning to competition after years away, hands-on fathers, a father-daughter duo, a mother competing alongside her two sons, working fitness coaches who left their own gym floors for the stage, and what the brand describes as an “ageless” wave of contenders competing without an age ceiling. Transgender men joined the Superbods competition for the first time this year.
The Callback
Hosting duties went to Maureen Montagne, the 2018 Century Tuna Superbod Grand Winner, alongside radio DJ KC Montero. Judging fell to a panel that included executives from Century Pacific Food Inc., actress and fitness advocate Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and two past Grand Winners: Jules Aquino from 2018 and Christelle Abello from 2022.
Contenders were scored on a walk-off and a question-and-answer segment, evaluated on physique, stage presence, and how clearly they could speak to their own fitness advocacy under pressure, not just perform it.
“Every edition, the Superbods competition evolves, but our core mission remains unchanged, to inspire Filipinos to unlock the healthiest, most vibrant versions of themselves,” said Carlo Endaya, Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head of Century Pacific Food Inc. “As we stepped into the ‘Superbod Era,’ we celebrate health as a powerful life stage where passion, dedication, and holistic wellness came together.”

Geared up for the Grand Finale
The finalists now move on to the Superbods grand finale, where the field narrows again and this year’s Grand Winners are named. Century Tuna hasn’t set a date publicly, though updates are expected to run through the brand’s official channels ahead of the event.
What the Callback made clear is that Century Tuna is betting the competition’s next chapter on range rather than a single body type. A four-time contender and a first-time transgender competitor sharing the same stage, judged by the same walk-off and the same question-and-answer round, is the argument the brand is making about who gets to call themselves a Superbod in year twenty.
