Drumming up the holiday spirit, SM City San Mateo officially kicked off the festive season with the launch of its “Rhythm of Christmas” centerpiece on October 27, 2025. The grand Christmas Tree Lighting set the perfect beat for the holidays, filling the mall with music, color, and cheer.
The celebration was led by Rizal Board Member John Patrick Bautista, members of the Municipal Council of San Mateo, and SM Executives, joined by Santa Claus and the ever-lively SM Holi Squad. Adding to the joyful atmosphere, kids dressed as little drummers marched to the beat, capturing the spirit of the season and delighting the crowd.
Beyond the spectacle, SM also shared the message of giving through its “Besties of Joy” campaign—where shoppers can Buy 1 Bear and Give 1 to a Bestie. One bear goes to a loved one, while the other is donated to SM’s partner foundation, spreading smiles and reminding everyone that happiness is better when shared.
Mallgoers can also experience the magic of Christmas by visiting the giant holiday displays at SM City San Mateo’s activity area, perfect for photos and creating cherished memories with family and friends.
