Puregold Channel is pushing the standards once more in digital storytelling with the launch of its latest series, Si Sol at Si Luna. The new show was officially introduced during a star-studded press conference held on May 16 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Starring former child actors Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza, Si Sol at Si Luna marks a dramatic shift from the typical romcom formula. The series explores emotional terrain rarely tackled in digital platforms—grief, age-gap romance, and the fragile timing of human connection.
“This series is about love—but not the kind that comes easy,” said Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold Senior Marketing Manager. “Luna’s journey is about loving through grief. Sol’s is about loving through transformation. And the series asks: Can love survive both?”
The narrative follows Sol, a young film student searching for creative inspiration, who falls for Luna, an older woman scarred by loss. As their bond deepens, the series examines the tension between longing and timing, passion and healing.
Jaranilla, stepping into his most mature role yet, delivers a performance that sheds his child-star persona, while Oineza portrays the emotionally layered Luna with quiet intensity. The show features the actors’ first intimate scenes on screen—a bold creative decision for a digital series produced by a retail brand.
The ensemble cast includes Joao Constancia, Uzziel Delamide, Vaughn Piczon, Lyle Viray, Jem Manicad, Marnie Lapus, and breakout newcomer Atasha Franco.
Si Sol at Si Luna follows the success of Puregold Channel’s previous hits My Plantito and Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile, further cementing its growing reputation as a major player in Filipino digital entertainment. The channel continues to break boundaries by combining cinematic storytelling with bite-sized viewing experiences accessible to a broad online audience.
The series premieres on May 31 on Puregold Channel’s YouTube page, with new episodes released every Saturday.
