LANDMARK is bringing a festive pop-up shopping experience reminiscent of the cinnamon-scented and yule-spirited Christmas markets that populate the streets of Europe at this time of year. Shoppers can experience Christmas Market at LANDMARK, located on the third floor of LANDMARK ATRIUM, transformed into a veritable Santa’s grotto full of seasonal atmosphere and festive cheer, from 2nd November to 31st December, providing the opportunity to experience this beloved tradition without having to fly to Europe.

Expect to find the best selection of products and Chrisrtmas exclusives from the likes of Polo by Ralph Lauren, British chocolate maker Charbonnel et Walker, Italian accessories brand Senreve, as well as La Maison du Chocolat, The Armoury, BarkMall, Indigo Living, Town House, Reign Abalone House, Cookie DPT and the Mandarin Oriental gift shop. There is also a dedicated Christmas Market Wine Shop, stocking exclusive bottles from The Whisky Library, Sake Central, Sunday’s Spirits and Dr Fern’s.

Richard Ekkebus, the acclaimed chef of Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, is treating shoppers to an original bakery concept created just for the pop-up. LMO Freshly Baked by Richard Ekkebus will be serving a collection of more than 15 different baked goods and sweet treats inspired by Ekkebus’s favourite childhood desserts.. To guarantee that straight-from-the-oven freshness, a different item will be available each hour.

Winter Wonderland at Mott32

Enjoy a Twist on Traditions with Peking Turkey at Hong Kong’s Most Celebrated Chinese Restaurant

Award-winning Cantonese restaurant Mott 32 is inviting Hong Kong’s diners to celebrate the holidays in an immersive winter wonderland. For one month, the eatery will be transformed for the festive season with elegant Christmas décor featuring a canopy of silver-frosted greenery and a modern, stylised Christmas tree. Amidst this cosy winter atmosphere, diners will also be able to feast on Mott 32’s Cantonese-accented seasonal menu.

A succulent Free-Range Barbecued Whole Turkey gets a contemporary Chinese twist – first served Peking Duck-style with all the accompaniments, followed by Minced Turkey, served on a prawn cracker. And finally, a Shredded Turkey Salad featuring Field Greens and Sweet Mixed Chinese Pickles, served with cranberry dressing. The Peking Turkey menu will be available from November 26 to December 30 and is priced at HK$1,880 + 10%. Diners must make a reservation and pre-order the menu at least 48 hours in advance.

On  December 25, for Christmas dinner, Mott 32 will be offering an indulgent Christmas Set Menu, including Roasted Turkey Salad, Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork, Foie Gras, a soup course, followed by a main course of the restaurant’s signatured Apple Wood Roasted 42 Days Peking Duck, Braised Brussels Sprouts and more. The feast will be punctuated with a festive Chocolate Yule Log for dessert.

The Christmas Set Menu is priced at HK$1,388 per person for a four-course meal of ten sharing dishes, with an additional optional wine pairing for HK$480 pp.

MR BROWN – Tradition at its Festive Heart

A traditional Turkey and All the Trimmings Meal in Buzzy Wanchai

Popular neighbourhood smoke and grill house Mr Brown will help Hong Kong celebrate the festive season with two enticing menus that will only be available for a few special dates. Over Thanksgiving and Christmas, diners will be able to sate their appetites with a delightful menu that celebrates the best flavours and produce of the season.

Starters for both Thanksgiving and Christmas include clams on toast with n’duja and tomato, smoked meatballs with barbecue chipotle, and old-time Mr Brown favourites such as the housemade English muffins filled with Iberico pork or pastrami, and whipped mackerel served with fish roe and pretzel bread. Followed by the centrepiece of any good festive meal – Turkey. A heaping platter of succulent smoked roast turkey is paired with a series of festive sides that are the hallmark of a seasonal meal: pecan and bacon stuffing, maple glazed sweet potato, and smoked pork brussel sprouts. Rounding out the meal, dessert is a decadent apple and pecan pie served with vanilla bourbon cream that that offers a true taste of the holidays.

Relish at Home: Christmas Delivered to your Door

When all you need is some homely Christmas Cheer

Specialist events and catering company RELISH are launching their ‘Relish At Home’ Festive Feasts for Christmas this year. Priced at HK $1,800 and designed to be delivered to your door, fully prepped with only final touches and minimal cooking steps to be done, the Holiday feast includes six traditional festive side dishes, one family-sized main course, one family-sized dessert, sauces (cranberry, gravy and bread sauce) – enough to feed six people – as well as two bottles of wine (one red, one white) and a box of Christmas crackers.

The selection of main courses includes such Christmas favourites as Beef Wellington with red wine sauce, Rolled Bronze Turkey breast and leg, with garlic and thyme, Salmon en Croute and a vegetarian option of Squash and Mushroom Nut Roast. Sides include Pigs in Blanket, Sage and Chestnut Stuffing, Brussells sprouts with bacon, Braised red cabbage and Duck fat roast potatoes. Dessert is a choice between Sticky Toffee Pudding and Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter.

Hong Kong local’s favourite neighbourhood spot offers Middle Eastern inspired takes on festive dishes

Chef Asher Goldstein of Wanchai neighbourhood eatery, FRANCIS has created two hearty Middle Eastern-inspired menus that capture the neighbourhood eatery’s culinary ethos and signature laid-back style. Featuring fresh, quality produce handled with imagination and care, the limited-run Brunch and Dinner menus offer simple indulgence with a festive touch. 

A hallmark of Middle Eastern cuisine, a traditional Jerusalem-stuffed roast shoulder of lamb served with saffron spiced rice, generously bejewelled with sweet currants and pomegranates, is the star of both menus. FRANCIS’s Christmas menus also offer veg-forward meze and main courses, such as Smoked Carrots and a trio of Dolma. Guests can also expect classic meze such Hummus, Baked Halloumi, and Falafel alongside festive specials such as Moroccan-inspired Quail Pastilla and Atayef (a sweet Arabic pancake) on both menus. The extended dinner menu features more mouth-watering dishes such as Octopus and Langoustine.
