The Tourism Promotions Board (TBP) joined Harley Owners Group (HOG) for a one-day motorcycle festival for a cause at Isla Perlita in Mauban, Quezon last June 25.

With the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism (PMT) program as one of the leading campaigns of TPB, the first PH Ride with a Purpose organized by HOG – Manila Chapter provided an avenue to promote domestic tourism.

PH Ride with a Purpose aims to raise funds for the tree planting and eco-park development project of the organization in Daang Kalikasan in Mangaterem, Pangasinan.

The event brought the Sturgis rally experience to Mauban with more than 2, 000 motorcycle riders and enthusiasts coming to the coastal town.

Motorcycle tourism for Quezon Province

Roxas said that HOG – Manila Chapter chose Quezon as its first-ever venue to promote the Quezon province as an adventure and culinary tourism destination for riders.

The province boasts of its diverse tourist attractions such as heritage churches, farm attractions, beaches and a wide array of delicacies.

Moreover, Quezon is an emerging hub for farm-to-table experience offering the province’s local gastronomy.

According to DOT CALABARZON OIC Director Marites Castro, the region gives a perfect weekend riding experience through its vast road networks.

“CALABARZON has a lot of things to offer for motorcycle tourism. Our road networks are perfect for motorcycle riders and they have a lot of spots they can visit—from farms, restaurants serving local dishes, and many more,” she said.

Meanwhile, TPB continues bullish in its campaign for motorcycle tourism. It has tie-ups with Breakfast Ride Community, Vespa Club of the Philippines, Mindanao Confederation of Big Bike Clubs (MCBBC), Oriental Mindoro Motorcycle Riders Club (OMMRC) Inc., Honda XADV Owners Club, and Adventure Team Philippines.
